1969 Jaguar 4.2 Litre ‘E’ Type

The Jaguar E-Type is a British automobile legend; manufactured by Jaguar between 1961 and 1975. It combined sensational looks, high performance and competitive pricing that instantly captured the imagination of the British public at the time and it has remained a truly iconic piece of British motoring history since. It was voted “the most beautiful car of all time” by the Daily Telegraph; Sports Car International Magazine placed the E Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the decade. On the cars public release in 1961, Enzo Ferrari called it “The most beautiful car ever made.

This beautiful original UK right hand drive Jaguar has resided in the Channel Island of Jersey since 1988. It has had just one owner, a member of the E type owners club for the past 23 years who lavished the car with a vast;y expensive restoration back in 1993. It has been in a heated carpeted garage ever since alongside a collection of rarely driven classics and has covered a mere 6,700 dry miles since its restoration.

It is a matching numbers,manual transmission car supplied with a Jaguar heritage certificate and has recently undergone a major mechanical service at a cost of £7,500 by a classic specialist garage in Jersey.

This is now finished in one of the finest colour combinations of carmen red with beige as the owner preferred this to the original iris blue back in 1993.
